Nestled in the heart of Londonderry, Graft Speciality Coffee is more than just a coffee shop – it’s a haven for coffee lovers and community seekers alike. Located at 1 Mountjoy Ter, this charming café offers an exceptional selection of expertly brewed speciality coffees and a welcoming atmosphere that invites you to pause, relax, and savour every moment.
The menu at Graft is thoughtfully curated to cater to every taste. Whether you prefer a bold and smooth Espresso (£2.90) or a gently nuanced Pour Over, each cup is crafted with care and precision. The iced drink lineup is particularly refreshing, featuring favourites like the crisp Iced Americano (£3.50) and the creamy Iced Latte (£3.70), alongside more adventurous choices such as Iced Matcha and Iced Chai (£4.00). For those who favour comforting warmth without the caffeine kick, Graft also serves a delicious range of teas and non-coffee options, including the robust Builders Brew (£2.40) and the indulgent Hot Chocolate (£3.50) – a treat for both kids and adults.
But what truly sets Graft apart is the heart behind the service and the atmosphere. Visitors repeatedly praise the staff’s genuine kindness and attentiveness, creating a calm, inclusive space where everyone feels welcome—even four-legged friends. Customer Kevin Feeney’s experience captures it perfectly: “Great coffee and toastie was really tasty. Nice chilled atmosphere and nothing was too much bother for the staff.” Meanwhile, Ryan M highlights the café’s aesthetic pleasures, calling it “Derry’s best Latté art” and commending the tempting selection of cakes and toasties available to accompany your drink.
The café’s vibe is one of warmth and authenticity. As Briney Canning beautifully notes, “They are really beautiful people who own this Cafe. Super genuine, and good hearted! There is a stunning atmosphere inside... prepared with love and presence.” This is a place where you can truly unwind, whether you’re catching up on work, diving into a book, or simply soaking in the quiet buzz of conviviality.
Its intimate size belies the big impression Graft leaves. From the ease of parking right outside to the cosy nook where prams and babies are welcomed with open arms, as Caitriona Muireann shares, this coffee shop fosters a strong community feel in the heart of Derry. Bonjarva agrees, highlighting the “spot on coffee” and “really lovely staff” as reasons to drop in, while Wilson Ilgenfritz neatly sums it up: “A fantastic little spot to grab a quick bite and a caffeine hit. Well worth the try if you’re in the area!”
For those seeking a memorable coffee experience in Derry, Graft Speciality Coffee is more than just a quick caffeine stop – it’s a place to connect, recharge, and savour the artistry of great coffee made by people who truly care. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make Graft your go-to destination for exceptional coffee and genuine hospitality.

One of the best places for coffee and a lovely treat. They are really beautiful people who own this Cafe. Super genuine, and good hearted ! There is a stunning atmosphere inside. Anything I have ever had in there is prepared with love and presence, and I feel that. One of my fav places :) I like going there to switch off and take my time. Do a bit of work, or read a book, or simply drink my coffee like a meditation. I love that it's dog friendly too.

Amazing café with the best, most friendly staff! Coffee is exquisite (and Derry’s best Latté art) and there is a great selection of bakes on offer. There is also a small toastie menu.

Really lovely small cafe with proper speciality coffee, lovely vibes and genuinely friendly staff. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome with our baby (and pram!) and it was honestly just such a nice atmosphere, a real community feel. We’ll be back if we ever stop by Derry again pastries looked lovely too!
